The Golden Goose Superstar Sneakers You Need to Know About
Golden Goose Deluxe Brand is something I’ve always admired. They were founded in 2000 after bringing together the talents of Francesca Rinaldo and Alessandro Gallo in Italy. Over the years, they have grown into a worldwide designer brand with flagship stores all over the world, and it’s one that style enthusiasts really love.
I’ve kept an eye on Golden Goose for some time and I would often look through what FarFetch had, as they always had an amazing selection, but I never ended up getting any because I always thought they were quite expensive and looked too similar to Converse, so they were always on my mental wishlist. A couple of years ago, Adam was the one who originally loved the brand and he actually got his first pair of their Superstar sneakers last year, which was what made me pay more attention. After checking out his pair and seeing how each pair of their shoes is completely unique because they’re crafted by hand in Italy, I was even more curious. As the Golden Goose Superstar sneakers are intentionally aged and made to appear vintage, they are all hand done so each one is different. Some have heavier wear than goose clothes others, so there’s a whole spectrum.
If you’re buying at a store, it might be a good idea to compare several options and choose from them, but if you’re ordering online, you have to hope you get a good pair!The pair of sneakers that I was first obsessed with are the ones above in the main image, as they’ve been available for years, but I never ended up purchasing them.
I actually ended up getting the silver pair from Shopbop, and they’re a pair I have styled multiple times (see here and my Golden Goose review here). I genuinely adore them! I bought another pair in the same model and customized them with dark laces + a burgundy detail, so they’re really fun! I also own a pair of plush burgundy style, and two pairs of high-cut styles! I do definitely want a new black version, but I have a pair of Converse in black canvas, so I’m not sure I should get both, even though they’re different.

I’m excited to finally find a designer shoe that you can wear in the rain and on dirty ground since you aren’t worried about getting them dirty — they’re already dirty. How are they vs. other brands?
They’re the highest quality sneakers I have.
I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose still come out on top.
There’s a secret wedge inside that adds support and height — making your legs look longer.
Not to mention, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is custom-feeling.
And the shine on mine? Stunning.
Would you recommend them?
Absolutely! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale.
They cost a lot, so getting them on sale is worth it.
Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you get a pair you love.
Mine have pink glitter, but a neutral version would also look great.
